iCorePay: Manage Convenience Fees

The purpose of this article is to show where the convenience fee appears to patients and staff as well as how to edit per patient.

From your dashboard, enter the amount to be collected from the patient.

Notice that the convenience fee calculates automatically. If, for any reason, you’d like to remove this fee—such as when the patient is paying with cash or check—simply click the red X, and the fee will be removed.

Assuming the patient is going to pay with a credit card, just click Create and Pay once you’ve selected the merchant terminal where you’ll be processing the payment.

From here, the payment process is exactly what you’re used to seeing.

Patient and provider information, the clinical balance collected, and the convenience fee are listed in two separate lines.

This information also appears discreetly in your end-of-day reports, showing your net balance collected, total amount collected, and the convenience fee.
