How to Download a Billing Report from Your Practice Management System

For Open Dental Users

  1. Go to Manage Module > Billing
  2. On the left hand side under ‘Filter’ set parameters to get the list of patients you’re looking for
  3. On the right – on ‘Defaults’ <- this and the sub steps are a one time and only needs to be done the first time, you may need an IT person to help you
    • Under ‘Electronic Billing’ select ‘Output to file’
    • Under ‘Output Path’ enter the location of a folder where you want the file to go
  4. Click OK
  5. Click ‘Create List’
  6. Click Send <- this will drop the file in the folder you specified in step 3.

For EagleSoft Users

  1. Navigate to Reports: This is usually found in the main menu or toolbar. Click on “Reports” to proceed.
  2. Select Accounts Receivable Report: Within the Reports section, look for the Accounts Receivable (AR) category. Click on it to expand the options.
  3. Choose Responsible Party Report: This report organizes accounts receivable information based on responsible parties (patients or entities responsible for payment).
  4. Customize Report Parameters (Optional): Depending on your preferences, you might have options to customize the parameters of the report. This could include selecting a specific date range, sorting options, or filtering criteria. Adjust these parameters as needed.
  5. Generate the Report: Once you’ve set the parameters, initiate the report generation process. This might involve clicking a “Run” or “Generate” button. Eaglesoft will then compile the data according to your specifications
