What is IMAP?
Internet Message Access Protocol, or IMAP, is a standard email retrieval (incoming) protocol. When setting up a new email account within iCoreExchange, you will need to enable IMAP settings.
How to enable IMAP in iCoreExchange
1. After setting up your new email account you will see new options appear in the Settings window located on the right-hand pane
2. Enable the IMAP setting
3. Create a Label name
4. Enter your email password

Enable IMAP on your Email Account
IMAP support needs to be enabled in Outlook, Google, and other email providers before iCoreExchange can access it. We recommend doing a Google search for “How to enable IMAP” for your specific email account for more information.

What is SMTP?
SMTP or Simple Mail Transfer Protocol is an application that is used to send, receive, and relay outgoing emails between senders and receivers.
To send email from your non-DIRECT account (i.e. personal email like Gmail, Yahoo, etc), you will need to configure the SMTP settings (see below). The server settings for common/popular providers will be pre-populated as a convenience. Make sure the checkbox is selected.
