Effective Date
The Effective Date, is when the pharmacy can fill the prescription. In most cases, this corresponds to the Written Date. The Effective Date can also be set in the future.
1. The Effective Date is displayed in the Pending Rx, Active Medications, and Previous Medications lists on the Compose Rx and Med Entry tabs.
2. Change the Effective Date in the Sig Builder on the Prescription Pad.
Stop Date
The Stop Date, is the date the patient is to stop taking the medication as prescribed.
1. The Stop Date is displayed in the Pending Rx, Active Medications, and Previous Medications lists on the Compose Rx and Med Entry tabs.
2. Change the Stop Date in the Sig Builder on the Prescription Pad.
Click the Calculator icon to estimate an appropriate Stop Date based on Days Supply and Refills.
Written Date
The Written Date, is the date the prescription is actually written.
1. The Written Date is displayed in the RxDetails for Active Medications and Previous Medications on the on the Compose Rx and Med Entry tabs.
Fill Date
The Fill Date, is the date the patient picked up the prescription from the pharmacy and is only displayed in Prescription History when provided by the pharmacy.
1. The Fill Date is displayed as a line item in Prescription History for Active Medications and Previous Medications on the Compose Rx and Med Entry tabs.
RxDetails and Prescription History
To access Rx Details, click the caret on the Edit button next to the medication, then select Detail.
To access Prescription History, click the caret on the Edit button next to the medication, select Detail, then scroll down to the Prescription History section.
