How to Add a Prescription template using the Quick Rx button:
If you frequently prescribe specific medications in your practice, you can save valuable time by creating prescription templates using the Quick Rx button.
With this feature, you can:Customize and save route and frequency details.
Add special instructions.
Include dispense information.
By building a personalized prescribing list, you can streamline the process and make prescribing for your patients faster and more efficient—even while they are in the chair. This is an excellent way to simplify the creation of both common and uncommon prescriptions.
There are multiple ways to add prescription templates:
From the Compose Rx Tab:
1. Click the Down Arrow next to Quick Rx and click Add Quick Rx
2. Enter the Generic Drug Name and click Drug Search
3. Select the Medication
4. Select the Dosage, Strength, and Form
5. Fill out the Prescription Pad
6. Click Save in the top right
The prescription is now in your Quick Rx list.
From the Admin Tab:
1. Click the Admin Tab from the top menu bar.
2. Under the List Maintenance section click on the Doctor’s Quick Rx List, this was formerly called Doctor’s Favorites.
The Add New Drug Favorite window will open
3. Enter the Generic Drug Name and click Drug Search
4. Select the Medication
5. Select the Dosage, Strength, and Form
6. Fill out the Prescription Pad
7. Click Save when finished, in the top or the bottom right.
Optional: Click the Star icon, if this is a Favorite or commonly used medication and sig.
The prescription is now in your Quick Rx list.
From the Prescription Pad:
You can also Add to Favorites from the Prescription Pad, while you are writing the prescription for your Patient.
1. Enter the Generic Drug Name and click Drug Search
2. Select the Medication
3. Select the Dosage, Strength, and Form
4. Fill out the Prescription Pad
5. Click the Add To Quick Rx checkbox in the upper right corner, then click Prescribe
6. Review and Transmit the prescription. The Sig will be saved in your Quick Rx List.
How to Remove a Prescription from the Quick Rx List:
From the Compose Rx or Med Entry Tab:
1. Click the Down Arrow next to the Quick Rx button and click Add Quick Rx
2. Find the prescription you wish to remove or delete
3. Click the Down Arrow next to the Edit button and click Delete
The prescription is now removed from the Quick Rx List.
How to Edit a Prescription in the Quick Rx List:
From the Compose Rx or Med Entry Tab:
1. Click the down arrow next to the Quick Rx button
2. Select Add to Quick Rx
3. Locate the Prescription to be edited
4. Click the Prescription’s Edit button
5. Edit the Prescription Pad as needed
6. Click Save
The edited prescription is now updated in the Quick Rx List.
How to Copy a Quick Rx List to Another Doctor
From the Compose Rx or Med Entry Tab:
1. Click the down arrow next to the Quick Rx button
2. Select Add to Quick Rx
3. At the top right corner, Click the down arrow, to open the Quick Rx List Copy Tool
4. Select the Source Doctor to Copy a Quick Rx list From
5. Select the Destination Doctor to Copy a Quick Rx list To
6. Click the blue Copy button
The Quick Rx list has been copied to another doctor.
Please Note: If you Copy more than once, it will create duplicates.
Review your list after copying and remove all unwanted or duplicate prescriptions.
